User Agreement / Terms of Service

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Be legally able to form a binding contract with IConnect
• Not be barred from using the Service under applicable law
• Provide accurate information when creating your account

If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. IConnect does not knowingly permit account creation by children under 13, and we reserve the right to remove any account found to belong to a user under 13.

• You must register with a valid email address and password to access most features of the Service
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared, sold, transferred, or licensed to another person

The information in your profile should be accurate and relate to you personally. Impersonating another person, or creating a profile for a fictitious person, organization, or public figure without authorization, is prohibited.

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this Agreement
• Interact with other members respectfully, consistent with IConnect's purpose of connecting the Nepali diaspora through professional and community relationships
• Provide truthful information in your profile, posts, comments, and messages
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the Service
• Use community, posting, commenting, and messaging features for genuine networking, knowledge-sharing, and community participation

You may not use the Service to post, send, or engage in any of the following:

Harassment, hate speech, and threats

• Harassing, bullying, intimidating, or threatening another user or any other person
• Hate speech, or promotion of discrimination, violence, or hostility based on race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
• Depicting, threatening, inciting, or promoting violence, self-harm, or physical harm against any person

Scams, spam, and deceptive conduct

• Spam, including unsolicited bulk messages, repetitive promotional content, or chain messages
• Scams, phishing, fraudulent solicitations, pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, or requests for money or financial information under false pretenses
• Advertising unrelated third-party products or services without our permission

Impersonation and false identity

• Impersonating any person, business, or organization, or misrepresenting your affiliation with one
• Creating a fake or duplicate account, or an account on behalf of another person without authorization

Other prohibited content

• Unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or pornographic content
• Content infringing the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
• Malware, viruses, or code designed to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service or any user's device
• Scraping or bulk-harvesting other users' personal information
• Attempts to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security, moderation, or normal operation of the Service, including through unauthorized automated means

We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether content or conduct violates this Agreement.

You own your content.As between you and IConnect, you retain ownership of the posts, comments, profile information, images, and messages you submit to the Service ("User Content").

License to IConnect. By submitting User Content, you grant IConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content was already shared with or copied by other users, or where retention is required by law.

Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the necessary rights to post it. Different types of content are visible to different audiences — see our Privacy Policy for details.

IConnect reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, to:

• Review, monitor, remove, or restrict access to any User Content that violates this Agreement or applicable law, or is otherwise objectionable
• Refuse to display or distribute any User Content, or remove it after publication
• Restrict, suspend, or terminate a user's access to the Service or any of its features
• Take any other action we deem necessary to protect the Service, its users, or third parties

We are under no obligation to monitor content on the Service, and do not guarantee we will act on any particular report, though we make reasonable efforts to review reports submitted under Section 10.

Direct messaging is provided to facilitate professional networking, mentorship, and community connection, consistent with IConnect's purpose. Messages are private between sender and recipient and are not monitored as a matter of course, but remain subject to this Agreement and may be reviewed if reported or required by law. You may not use messages to send unsolicited commercial content, harass another user, or engage in conduct prohibited under Section 4. IConnect does not vet, verify, or endorse other users, and you are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment when interacting with them.

Our collection, use, and handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. By using the Service, you also agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.

The Service, including its design, layout, features, graphics, logos, and underlying software (excluding User Content), is owned by IConnect or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to access and use the Service as permitted by this Agreement, no right, title, or interest in the Service is transferred to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service, except as permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this restriction. "IConnect" and associated logos are trademarks of IConnect and may not be used without our prior written permission.

If you become aware of content or conduct that violates this Agreement, you may report it to us at the contact address below. We will review reports and take action we consider appropriate in our discretion, which may include content removal, warnings, or account restriction, suspension, or termination. We are not obligated to share investigation outcomes or take any specific action. Retaliation against another user for a good-faith report is itself a violation of this Agreement.

By you. You may stop using the Service at any time. Self-service account deletion is not currently available; to request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at prasunmalla@outlook.com.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if we believe you have violated this Agreement or engaged in prohibited conduct, or if we believe it necessary to protect the Service, other users, or third parties.

Effect of termination. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 9, 13, and 14) will survive.

The Service uses third-party providers to operate certain features (for example, image hosting, as described in our Privacy Policy); we are not responsible for their practices beyond our use of them. The Service or its users may include links to third-party websites not operated by IConnect. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site — use of such sites is at your own risk.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

IConnect does not verify the identity, credentials, or background of any user. Interactions, connections, advice, and opportunities exchanged between users are solely between those users, and IConnect disclaims liability arising from your interactions with other users.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ICONNECT, ITS OPERATOR, AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some may not apply to you.

This Agreement is governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

We may update this Agreement as the Service changes. If we make material changes, the updated Agreement will be posted on the Service with a new "Last Updated" date, and we may notify users through appropriate means such as in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.

• Entire agreement — this Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and IConnect regarding the Service
• Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect
• No waiver — our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver of it
• Assignment — you may not assign this Agreement without our consent; we may assign it without restriction, including in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
